Wow...
You guys are amazing and knowledgable beyond belief.. Why some many of us with Adrenal gland issues have to be subjected to so much ignorance in the medical world is beyond me.. Perhaps, there is just so much to know not everyone can't know it all.
Thanks so much for this podcast.

Hillary,
Many thanks for your comments, - glad they were helpful. If you haven't been over to CorePsychBlog do look for more posts and links over there with the Google search box.

And do take a look at Stop the Thyroid Madness under the Resources here, - she has great comments on many of these issues.

Lucky for me I found a Dr. who is involved in homeopathic medicine. He has me on Armour and Cortef. I am most likely estrogen dominant as I do have endometriosis too. As I was achieving more health with the Armour and Cortef, my endo became more active. Which of course, stresses the adrenals, I just can't win.

You might be interested to know, when I was young I was diagnosed bipolar... as I grew older, that bipolar disorder has morphed into this endocrine mayhem.. I firmly believe it is a disease/weakness of the limbic system, combined with stressful life, american diet & pollution that culminated to how this disease/weakeness now presents itself.

I have one question that has not been answered. And if you happen to know the answer I will be thrilled. On my road to health, I take Karate which I LOVE. however, I have serious breathing problems. I use to have asthma but that has cleared up. As you might imagine sparing when your about to pass out can be dangerous. How do the adrenals affect the lungs? And will this problem ever clear up? No one I talk to knows. My doc tells me to take iron because my "reserves" are low like.. 9.. before anemia.. but I'm not sure that that is the only issue.
Thanks again for the awesome insight to all of this endocrine mayhem.

Hilary,
Of course we hope to help anyone with their sparing, - and yes, getting dizzy can get you hit!

You have many variables there, and anything I say would be a very big reach/guess without more specific info. It is definite that if your ferritin is 9 that is a very big problem. Low ferritin can effect many things including your energy and indeed your thyroid function.

I just was listening to a super presentation by Dr Russell Jaffe with www.Perque.com - there he was discussing how to get that iron into the cells, as sometimes it doesn't come across as it should. Vit C in specific calibrated doses could be helpful. If your doc has access to his Vit C Calibration routine I would suggest that to get your C up, as well as iron supplementation.

One other reach point: quite common with all of your problems: gluten sensitivity. If you have GS you will be low on many things including B12, Iron, and the immune dysregulation can result in hypoadrenal, hypothyroid, insulin resistance, etc.

I also don't know if your doc did a specific sputum panel for all of your hormones [DHEA, est, progest, test, and the 4 cortisol levels thru the day]. A person can be estrogen dominant, but can reverse/significantly interfere with that process with hormone balance actions [adding progest].

I have more info downloadable on all of that over at the CorePsychBlog site. Also you can Google Labrix.com to review some of their materials as well.

Gluten sensitivity testing at www.enterolab.com - I recommend that even if you don't have overt bowel problems [irregularity in either direction], just because of your multiple picture of immune dysfunctions.

If your adrenals are low, you may have to do yoga for awhile rather than stress yourself out too much.

Thanks for your note,
cp
